P
Play back: The act of raising.
Play the board: It’s when the best hand for a player comes only from the 5 common cards without any hole card.
Pocket cards: Go and see the definition of hole cards.
Pocket pair: Already set pair with pocket cards.
Position bet: Bet influenced by the rounder’s position at the table.
Pot: The total amount of all the bets in a single hand.
Pot limit: Structure in which the higher bet cannot exceed the pot.
Pot Odds: Ratio between the pot and the bet requested to stay active in the hand.
Pre-Flop: The action included between cards dealing and flop.
Private cards: Synonymous with hole cards and pocket cards.

Rebuy: The option some tournaments give to purchase new chips.
River: It’s the name of fifth and last community card.
Rivered (to be): Being defeated by an opponent helped by river card in completing his score.
Rounder: Player.

Sandbagging: Synonymous with check raise.
Satellite: Qualification tournament to a greater event.
Scare card: Common cards allowing high scores.
Set: Synonymous with Tris.
Shootout: Elimination tournament: the winner of each table goes to the final round against all other winners.
Showdown: After the river, when all the rounders still in action have to show their own cards.
Sit’n'go (STG): Tournament which begins only when a certain number of players has joined the table. It’s very common in case of STT (Single Table Tournament) events.
Slow Play: Betting lower than the cards would permit, so to make the opponents think you don’t have a very good hand: thereby they stay active giving the chance of gaining much more money.
Small Blind: The cheapest of two blinds to bet before the flop. It’s paid by the player at the dealer’s left.
Spare wrap: Having the chance of a flush and a Straight at the same time.
Stack: The total chips at disposal to a player.
Stakes: The buy in and betting amount set for each tournament.

Texture: It’s the technical analysis of a hand.
Third pair: Pair made up of a hole card and the third high-rated card at the flop.
Top Pair: Pair made up of a hole card and the higher-rated card at the flop.
Trips: It’s a tris made up of one hole card and two common cards.
Turn: It’s the fourth community card.
U
Under the Gun (UTG): At big blind’s left, is the first player who acts in the pre-flop and that will have to pay the big blind in next hand.
V
Value bet: Low bet from a player which has a very good draw and thinks opponents are in a weak situation: he won’t frighten them as to keep the pot growing.
W
Walk: All the players fold before the big blind.
