Low figures for ESPN WSOP broadcast

After six weeks of World Series of Poker broadcasting ESPN revealed the statistics regarding the number of television viewers of the show. The overall index for this period amounted approximately to 737,000 viewers, showing that numbers have reduced compared to last year’s corresponding period. The fall is about 16%. Looking at the demographic data of figures, the only group of viewers that has increased its numbers is the group of men aged over 55 years old: the surge is approximately 8.1%. But on all other categories there was a decline.


Anyway the World Series of Poker will continue to be broadcast on ESPN, which is the largest sports cable television channel in the USA, for the next ten weeks until the start of the Main Event’s final table which is scheduled for November.
