A Nude poker tournament is being held at Cap d’Agde, which is a French famous naturist resort. They’re practically taking the term ‘strip poker’ to a whole new level. But we’re not talking about another strip poker tournament: the contenders will play in their own “Birthday Suits”.
Cap d’Agde is a famous touristic destination for nudists and, during the peak season, something like 40,000 guests go to the Cap d’Agde nudist beach. The nude poker tournament which is currently being held was created to commemorate the local casino’s 40th anniversary. The event is sponsored by the Cap d’Agde Casino as well as the Union of Professionals of Naturist Tourism. The tournament should promote the resort and the concept of being naturists to the people. What will really help the cause is the participation of a poker pro: but nobody knows who will be the poker champion. The buy-in fee is only 150 euros so the prize pool will most likely not be that big, but this is a nude poker tournament, possibly the first of its kind. People are going to join for the fun of it, and not so much for the money.
